Heartland Bank was established in 2011 as a result of the merger of four financial organisations in New Zealand.
Roots of the bank stretch back to the 19th century. The initial bank of the group was Ashburton Permanent Building & Investment Society. From there a merger between them, the SMC Building Society and Loan & Building Society came together to become CBS Canterbury.
More recently in 2011, CBS Canterbury merged with Souther Cross, MARAC and PWF to operate as a sole business unit. And even more recently in 2013, they building society converted to become and official company, in which Heartland Bank was born.
Assets of the company are valued at a massive $2.34 billion which 350 employees take care of every day.
The main activities of the Heartland bank are:
- Day to Day Accounts
